Originally created as a technical reference for “Cathedral Skies,” this pencil and reed pen drawing of Sainte Chapelle Cathedral includes Kaya’s margin notes and unfinished, experimental lines. Sainte Chapelle (12th century) stands on the Isle de Paris in the heart of the city. Boasting large and extensive stained glass and minimal interior stone supports, it is a favored example from the Gothic architectural era.
